About 412do
Pittsburgh's weekend to-do list.
Every Thursday at 6am, we send one email: the 8–12 things actually worth doing that weekend within three hours of Pittsburgh. That's the whole product.
The 3-hour rule
Pittsburgh doesn't end at the city limits. Cleveland is 2 hours. Columbus is 3. The Laurel Highlands, Erie, Wheeling, Youngstown — all closer than you think, and some weekends the best thing going is a tank of gas away. Every pick shows the drive time, so you can decide from your couch.
How picks get chosen
A pipeline watches hundreds of venue calendars, ticketing feeds, tourism boards, and fair listings across the radius — thousands of events a month. Software does the collecting. A human does the choosing. If it's on the list, someone decided it was worth your Saturday, and wrote one honest line about why.
What you'll never get: everything. There are plenty of places to scroll every event within 200 miles. This isn't one of them.
The rules we curate by
- Dates are sacred. Nothing gets published with an unconfirmed date. Ever.
- Free gets flagged. So do ticket requirements and registration deadlines — before they pass, not after.
- Family stuff is family-tested logic. Timing, parking, nap math.
- No pay-to-play. Sponsors are labeled. Picks can't be bought.
Who's behind this
Hi — I'm DC. A Pittsburgh dad who got tired of finding out about the good stuff the Monday after it happened. I built the system that finds everything so your Thursday takes thirty seconds instead of thirty browser tabs.
